Werner Barnard is currently the Head of Risk and Capital Management at Sanlam Life, a position they have held since 2010. Prior to this role, Werner served as a Valuator at Sanlam Namibia Limited from 2007 to 2013 and held various actuarial positions within the Sanlam Group, including Sr Valuations Actuary and Head of Actuarial Development. They earned a B.Comm (Hons) in Mathematical Statistics with a focus on Actuarial studies from Stellenbosch University between 1989 and 1992.
