Cathy Long

Cathy Long is a licensed and certified genetic counselor with significant experience in pediatric genetics, transitioning into roles as a medical science liaison and strategic accounts director in lysosomal storage diseases. They formerly worked at Children's Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota and have been involved in various aspects of genetic counseling, including biochemical genetics and newborn screening. Cathy holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Chicago and a Master's in Genetic Counseling from the University of Colorado Anschutz. They are currently contributing to medical affairs in rare diseases, utilizing their clinical expertise to engage with healthcare professionals and improve patient outcomes. Additionally, Cathy serves on the Admissions Committee for the Genetic Counseling Graduate Program at the University of Minnesota and co-chairs the DEIJ and Clinical Supervisors Advisory Committee at Northwestern University.
