Gerhard Hessler

Gerhard Hessler is currently the Head of Synthetic Molecular Design at Sanofi, where they lead innovative research in drug design. From 1998 to 2001, they served as a Computational Chemist at Bayer, and from 2008 to 2012, they held the position of Head of Drug Design - Lead Optimization at Sanofi. Gerhard has extensive experience in computational chemistry and structural biology, having also worked in various computational chemist roles throughout their tenure. They earned their Ph.D. in Chemistry from the Technical University Munich after completing both a Master's degree and a prior degree in Chemistry at the same institution.
