Marc Wingens is the Head of non-GMP Pilot Plant & Engineering Solutions in Bioprocess Engineering at Sanofi, a role they have held since 2021. Previously, they served as the Head of Laboratory Upstream Process Development and the Head of Cell Culture Media & Feed Development and Viral Safety Global Skill Center at Sanofi from 2008 to 2016. Marc completed a Post Doctoral Fellowship at the University of Bielefeld in 2008 and holds a Doctorate in Biotechnology with distinction from the University of Bielefeld. They also earned a Diploma in Biology, Biochemistry, and Biotechnology from Heinrich Heine Universität Düsseldorf, as well as an excellent Diploma thesis in Biotechnology from Research Center Jülich.
