Maria Agarwal

Maria Agarwal is currently the Clinical Biomarker Lead at Sanofi, a position held since 2020, where they oversee the development and implementation of biomarker strategies in clinical trials. Previously, from 2018 to 2020, they served as Scientist II at Agenus, leading translational research efforts in immune oncology and managing a team while interacting with internal and external collaborators. Maria's earlier experience includes a postdoctoral fellowship at Johns Hopkins University, focusing on therapeutic vaccines and immunological mechanisms, along with a PhD from DKFZ, where they researched cancer-retina antigens. Their educational journey also includes a Master's degree from Wageningen University and an exchange scholarship at UCLA, where they explored HIV-1 infection effects on T cell receptor diversity.
