Matt LaMarche is currently the Head of Integrated Drug Discovery and Head of Medchem/Waltham at Sanofi, a position held since August 2020. Prior to Sanofi, Matt LaMarche served as Associate Director at Novartis from October 2017 to August 2020 and held various roles at the Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research from August 2005 to August 2017, including Senior Investigator and Group Leader in Oncology. Earlier in career, Matt LaMarche was a Medicinal Chemist at Millennium Pharmaceuticals from June 2002 to August 2005, managing projects within the obesity and oncology franchises. Matt LaMarche earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Chemistry from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Biochemistry from the University of Notre Dame.
