Nicolas Basse

Nicolas Basse has extensive experience in the field of biochemistry and drug discovery, beginning with a PhD from Université Denis Diderot (Paris VII) from 2004 to 2007. Basse worked as a postdoctoral fellow at MRC-CPE in Cambridge, UK, from December 2007 to April 2009, focusing on fragment-based drug discovery, NMR, crystallography, and biophysics. Subsequent postdoctoral work at MRC-LMB continued until January 2012, after which Basse took on a senior scientist role at UCB Pharma until May 2014. From May 2014 to April 2015, Basse served as project leader and principal scientist at UCB. Basse joined Sanofi in February 2020, where leadership positions included head of the Immuno-Oncology cluster, head of the Biochemistry Department, head of the Immuno-Inflammation cluster, and group leader in biochemistry, concluding this role in January 2023.
