Sonja O'Neill

Sonja O'Neill, PhD, PMP, currently serves as the Head of SMS & Transformation - Devices at Sanofi, overseeing operational performance at an insulin pen production site since December 2012. O'Neill has held various leadership roles at Sanofi, including Head of Performance and Digitalization and Head of Project Management, where responsibilities encompassed global project management strategy and line management of 17 project managers. Prior experience includes serving as Project Manager for Medical Devices at Ferchau Engineering and conducting research as a Research Associate at the University of Ulster focused on cognitive prosthetics for dementia. O'Neill obtained a PhD through a Marie Curie Fellowship at the University of Ulster, concentrating on biomedical engineering, after earning a Dipl. Ing. in Clinical Engineering from Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen.
