Sven Haroth earned a Dr. rer. nat. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Georg-August-Universität Göttingen, where research centered on the breakdown pathway of the plant hormone jasmonic acid. They developed expertise in protein biochemistry, protein purification, LC-MS/MS, and CRISPR/Cas9 while working as a Research Assistant in the Department of Plant Biochemistry.
