Thinus Marais

Thinus Marais is a Senior Medical Director for Influenza and COVID at Sanofi Vaccines North America. They previously held several key positions within Sanofi Pasteur, including Medical Advisor, Immunisation Policy Manager, and Medical Head for Africa. Thinus began their medical career as an Intern Medical Officer at the Northern Cape Department of Health and served as a Community Service Medical Officer at the Mpumalanga Department of Health. They earned a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) from the University of the Free State and a Postgraduate Diploma in Palliative Medicine from the University of Cape Town, alongside a National Diploma in Hospitality Administration from the Central University of Technology.
