Yan Xiao

Yan Xiao is a seasoned scientist with a robust background in biologic modalities and gene therapy. Currently serving as a Senior Scientist at Sanofi since April 2022, Yan specializes in developing and executing bio-, binding, and immunoassays for various biologics. Prior experience includes leading immunoassay development at Vertex Pharmaceuticals for AAV gene therapy programs and optimizing analytical methods at Spark Therapeutics. Additionally, Yan has worked on biomarker expression in neurodegenerative diseases at Alliance Pharma and conducted postdoctoral research at both Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the University of Pennsylvania, focusing on gene function in disease contexts. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Biology from Peking University and a Bachelor's degree in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from Jiangnan University.
