Astrid Visser

Astrid Visser has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and industries. Astrid began their career as a Research Associate at the University of Heidelberg in 1994. Astrid then worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at The Scripps Research Institute, where they focused on Epigenetic Research. At Leiden University, they served as a Project Leader from 2004 to 2007. Astrid then joined Philips as a Senior Clinical Research Scientist and later as a Project Leader and Liaison. Astrid further expanded their experience at Sanquin, a center of expertise in blood and immunology, where they held the role of Manager Business Development at Sanquin Reagents B.V. From 2021 onwards, Astrid became the Director of Business Development at Sanquin Health Solutions B.V. alongside their role as Harbour Master and owner of Jachthaven De Meermolen, a marina and B&B. Overall, Astrid has demonstrated their expertise in various scientific and leadership positions throughout their career.

Astrid Visser completed their education at the University of Amsterdam. Astrid obtained a Master's degree in Medical Biology from 1988 to 1994, followed by a PhD in Medicine from 1995 to 1999.
