Ellen van der Schoot

Ellen van der Schoot has extensive experience in the field of immunohematology, serving as the head of the Experimental Immunohematology department at Sanquin from 1984 to 2010 and holding positions as a scientist at Bloodomics (2004-2009) and SAFE NoE (2003-2008). Currently, Ellen is a principal investigator at the Academic Medical Center, in the Department of Hematology, since 1990. Ellen van der Schoot earned a MD and PhD in Medicine from the University of Amsterdam between 1977 and 1984, following a gymnasium beta degree from Cartesius Lyceum Amsterdam from 1971 to 1977.
