Masja de Haas

Prof Masja de Haas, MD PhD, is the Director of Medical Affairs at Sanquin Blood Supply and a Professor of Translational Immunohematology at both Sanquin and Leiden University Medical Center. They are recognized as an expert in immunohaematology and have contributed significantly to the field through their research and consulting work, particularly concerning complex transfusion-related cases. Previously, Masja managed various laboratories in the immunohaematology diagnostic services at Sanquin and led research initiatives focused on blood cell destruction mechanisms. Their educational background includes a Master's degree, an MD, and a PhD, all obtained from the University of Amsterdam.
