Sanskruti Cambridge CIC is an award-winning dance school and dance company, based in Cambridge. Our professional dance company tours original dance shows and runs community events and dance workshops.

Our vision is for South Asian dance to thrive at the centre of British cultural life.

We started Sanskruti School of Dance in 2007 to train students from all age groups and with different cultural backgrounds in Cambridge in the South Asian classical dance form called Bharatanatyam as well as the popular dance Bollywood dance style including Indian folk dance forms. Our school’s aim is to build students’ confidence, create, imagine and express their thoughts and feelings.

Our professional dance company, Sanskruti Dance, began in 2017 following a number of one-off events, including the Cambridge Big Weekend Festivals and a Bharatanatyam Flashmob performance for Mill Road Midsummer Festival. Sanskruti Dance was officially registered as a Community Interest Company in October 2021.

Our work reaches families nationally, but we remain rooted to our local communities by bringing art to local families.
