Andy Cooper

Andy Cooper has extensive experience in risk management and project delivery, currently serving as the Head of Model Risk Operating Office at Santander UK since January 2018. Previous roles at Santander UK include positions related to risk and compliance strategy, program management for model-related change, and treasury risk analytics. Additionally, Andy held the role of Non-Financial Risks Manager for Banco Santander’s Hong Kong branch during a brief overseas secondment in late 2017. Prior to joining Santander, Andy worked at HSBC in various project management and IT roles from 2007 to 2015 and interned with the UK Government as a Systems Administrator. Andy holds a First Class Bachelor of Science degree in Information and Communications Technology from Nottingham Trent University, completed in 2009.
