John Baldwin

John Baldwin is a seasoned banking executive with extensive experience in corporate and commercial banking. Currently serving as CEO of Corporate and Commercial Banking at Santander UK since April 2013, John has held various leadership roles, including Head of Commercial Clients and Divisional Managing Director for London and the South East, overseeing commercial performance and risk management. Prior experience includes a Senior Area Manager position at Lloyds TSB Commercial, where John led teams in Commercial Banking and various specialized sectors. As the founder and Managing Director of Lawn Lane Finance Limited, John established a regulated financial management and broking business. Additionally, experience at Lloyds TSB – Strategic Ventures and Lloyds Banking Group highlights John’s expertise in group strategy and revenue growth initiatives. John holds an MBA from the University of Hull and a BA (Hons) in Finance from the Chartered Institute of Bankers, complemented by executive education at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
