Mal Powar

Mal Powar is an experienced banking professional with a robust background in business development and corporate banking. Currently serving as Director of Business Development at Santander UK since July 2023, Mal previously held the position of Relationship Director at Santander Corporate & Investment Banking from December 2016 to September 2023, focusing on management of internationally trading commercial clients. Prior roles include AVP Corporate Credit Manager at Barclays, Implementation Manager at RBS, and Management Consultant at Bishopsgate Financial. Mal has a foundational experience as a Relationship Manager at BNP Paribas CIB and has also worked at Lloyds Banking Group in various capacities. Educational qualifications include a diploma in Corporate Banking from the Institute of Financial Services and a Bachelor’s degree in Managerial and Administrative Studies from Aston University.
