Auriel August

Auriel August, MD has diverse work experience in the medical and technology fields. They currently hold the position of Principal at SANTÉ, where they serve as an investor in early-stage life science technologies, with a focus on medical devices. They also serve as a Board Observer for several companies in the medical device portfolio. Prior to this, they were a Senior Associate at SANTÉ. Auriel has also worked as a Design Lead at IDEO and as a Co-Founder at The Aquarius Lab. They have clinical experience as a Surgical Float Physician at SFVA Hospital and as a General Surgery Resident Physician at Stanford Health Care. Additionally, they have held roles as a Biodesign Innovation Fellow at Stanford Byers Center for Biodesign and as an Intern at IDEO. Before their clinical experience, Auriel worked as a Research Associate at Duke University Pratt School of Engineering, focusing on neural prosthetics research.

Auriel August, MD began their education in 2008 at Duke University, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering in 2012. Auriel then attended the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth from 2013 to 2017, where they obtained their Doctor of Medicine degree.
