John Brush

John Brush currently serves as a Public Relations Specialist III at Santee Cooper, having begun this role in July 2023. Prior experience includes serving as the Assistant Athletic Director for Athletic Communications at The Citadel from June 2018 to July 2023, where responsibilities encompassed overseeing media relations and communication strategies for the athletic department, along with managing content across various platforms. John also held the position of Director of Media Relations at Towson University from October 2014 to June 2018, promoting the university and its athletics through effective media strategies. Previous roles include Director of Media Relations at Murray State University and Associate Sports Information Director at The University of Texas at Arlington, along with early career experience as a Sports Information Intern at Angelo State University and an intern with the Pittsburgh Penguins in game entertainment. John Brush earned a degree from Waynesburg University between 1996 and 2000.
