Joe Balash serves as the Senior Vice President of External Affairs at Santos Ltd since September 2019. Prior to this role, Joe held the position of Assistant Secretary for Land and Minerals Management at the U.S. Department of the Interior from December 2017 to August 2019. Joe has extensive experience in public service, having worked as Chief of Staff for Senator Dan Sullivan (AK) and Commissioner of the Alaska Department of Natural Resources. Additionally, Joe served in roles within the Office of the Governor of Alaska and the Alaska State Legislature. Joe earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government and Politics from Pacific University, and also attended Duquesne University.
