Lorena Ruiz is an experienced engineering professional with a focus on reservoir and production engineering. Currently serving as a Senior Staff Production Engineer at Santos Ltd since August 2025, Lorena has previously held multiple engineering roles at Arrow Energy from September 2018 to August 2025, including Principal Reservoir Engineer and Senior Reservoir Engineer. In addition, a PHD candidacy at The University of Queensland involved assessing gas migration pathways from coal reservoirs to shallow aquifers. Earlier career experiences include positions as a Reservoir Engineer and Field Reservoir Engineer at companies such as YPF and Repsol. Lorena holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from Universidad Nacional de Córdoba, completed in 2003.
