Mitchell Bird

Mitchell Bird is an experienced environmental professional with a strong background in ecology and environmental management. Currently serving as the Manager of Land and Nature Based Solutions at Santos Ltd since June 2013, Mitchell previously held roles such as Senior Environmental Advisor. Mitchell's earlier experience includes work as an Environmental Scientist - Ecologist at WorleyParsons, where responsibilities involved conducting ecological surveys, assessing environmental impacts, and preparing various technical reports. Prior roles included a GIS Analyst position at The Crown Estate, contributing to offshore renewable energy projects, and as an Environmental Scientist at ERM: Environmental Resources Management, where Mitchell was the only ecological consultant in the Brisbane office. Educational qualifications comprise a Bachelor of Laws from Queensland University of Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Ecology and Conservation Biology from Griffith University.
