Patrick Despland

Patrick Despland is a seasoned geoscientist with extensive experience in geological services and exploration. Currently serving as the Lead Play Analyst at Santos Ltd since October 2013, Patrick has also held various significant positions within the company, including Senior Staff Geoscientist and Senior Geologist, focusing on subsurface and opportunity capture aspects. Prior to this, Patrick was the Exploration Manager at AO Energy for nearly a year and began at Santos Ltd as a Graduate Geologist in 2006, working in the South and South East Asia Business Unit. Earlier experiences include roles as a Graduate Geologist at Iluka Resources and as a Field Geologist with Euro Exploration Services Pty Ltd and CREALP. Patrick holds a Master's degree in Geosciences from the University of Lausanne, completed in 2004.
