Simon Armstrong

Simon Armstrong has extensive experience in midstream and upstream operations, currently serving as Campaign Leader for Midstream Operations and Shutdown Planner at Santos Ltd since June 2020. Simon began working with Santos Ltd in June 2011 as an Event Leader for Compression and Shutdowns and later as a Maintenance Program and Shutdown Planner in Upstream Cooper Operations. Prior experience includes roles as a Mechanical Planner at the Australian Submarine Corporation and Rio Tinto Minerals, focusing on project planning and maintenance scheduling. Simon holds a Diploma of Project Management from the Australian Institute of Management, a Certificate IV in Process Plant Technology from Tafe Queensland, and has completed training in Boilermaker Welding and Heavy Metal Fabrication Engineering from Tafe South Australia.
