Stephen Budgen

Stephen Budgen is an Executive Security and Strategic Risk Advisor with over 30 years of experience in crisis and emergency management. They served as Team Leader for Tactical Response at the Australian Federal Police, where they introduced Australia's first covert re-breather diving capability and led counter-terrorist operations nationally. Currently, as Senior Leader of Offshore Security, Emergency & Crisis Operations at Santos Ltd, they enhance operational readiness across multiple sites in Papua New Guinea. Stephen has also held significant roles across various companies like Amazon Web Services, Batavi Special Projects, and Svitzer Salvage Australasia, specializing in security risk management and organizational resilience. They earned a Master of Business Administration from the Australian Institute of Management.
