Stuart Hunter

Stuart Hunter is an experienced operations technician with a diverse background in the oil and gas industry. Currently employed at Santos Ltd since May 2020, Stuart previously worked at Conocophillips from March 2014 to August 2023 as a production technician on an LNG plant. Prior to that, Stuart served as a refinery shift leader at Ineos from October 2006 to March 2014, overseeing safety and optimization processes. Earlier roles included control room technician, process operator, and instrumentation technician at BP Oil Grangemouth, where Stuart focused on the operation and optimization of various refinery units. An apprenticeship at BP Oil marked the beginning of Stuart's career in the industry. Stuart holds a BSc in Chemistry from The Open University, completed between 2000 and 2006.
