Michael Moniz has a diverse and extensive work experience in the healthcare industry. Michael has held various leadership positions throughout their career. Starting in 1992, Michael worked as the Associate Chief Biomedical Engineer at VA Boston Healthcare System, where they oversaw the implementation and management of medical center technology. Michael then joined UroMed Corp in 1997 as the Director of Operations, responsible for managing the supply chain and daily operations. In 2002, they became the Vice President of Operations at Blue Torch Medical Corp, where they established and developed all operations systems, achieving ISO and regulatory certifications within the first year of operation.

Michael continued their career at Boston Scientific in 2006 as the Quality Director, leading a quality, leadership team and re-establishing product control processes. Michael then moved on to Microline Surgical in 2013, serving as the Vice President of R&D, Quality Assurance, and Regulatory Affairs. In this role, they implemented global strategies to improve quality systems and led ISO-certified quality programs for products registered in over 65 countries. Additionally, they collaborated with regulatory agencies and led teams in post-market surveillance activities.

Following this, Michael worked at Abiomed from 2017 to 2022 as the Director of Global Quality Systems and Design Assurance. During this period, they were responsible for directing quality and regulatory initiatives, collaborating with FDA and Notified Bodies, and leading clinical marketing studies for class II medical devices.

In 2022, Michael held concurrent roles as the Vice President of Engineering at Sapphiros and Satio Inc. In these positions, they oversee the engineering departments and contributes to the overall strategic direction of the companies.

Throughout their career, Michael has consistently demonstrated their expertise in quality management, regulatory compliance, and operational leadership in the healthcare industry.

Michael Moniz obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from Boston University between 1984 and 1988. During the same period, they also pursued a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from Boston University. Michael then pursued a Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Northwestern University, which they completed between 1989 and 1990.
