Darrell Waite has extensive experience in the pulp and paper industry, currently serving as Associate Research Fellow and Manager of the Pulping, Fiber and Basesheet Group at Sappi North America since January 2015. Prior to this role, Waite held positions at Old Town Fuel & Fiber as Director of Technology and Manager of the Biorefinery Process, and at MeadWestvaco, where Waite was the Fiber Development Technical Manager and Principal Engineer, overseeing pulp operations. Additional experience includes roles as Senior Research Engineer at Mead Corporation, Production Engineer at Consolidated Paper Company, and Boise Cascade, as well as Process Engineer at Champion International. Waite holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Maine, obtained in 1989.
