Gerrit Pool is a Management Forester at Sappi, where responsibilities include fostering a safety culture, conducting risk assessments, and managing crop yield optimization through strategic field operations. Previous roles at Sappi include Forester and Forester in Training, along with experience as a Student Forester at GEPIK Teachers, where English was taught in a holistic educational setting. Gerrit also served as a Student Teacher at Pearson High School during the pursuit of a Bachelor of Education degree. Gerrit holds a National Diploma in Forestry and a Bachelor of Education in Biology/Biological Sciences from Nelson Mandela University.
