Mike Schultz has over three decades of experience in the manufacturing sector, currently serving as Vice President of Manufacturing and Managing Director of Cloquet Operations at Sappi North America since May 2002. Schultz oversees the operations and strategic direction of a mill with 700 employees, specializing in dissolving pulp and high-quality coated graphic and packaging papers. Significant accomplishments include leading a $170 million project to convert a bleached kraft market pulp mill to chemical cellulose, completed on time and within budget, as well as managing a pulp mill producing 1550 TPD of hardwood. Prior experience includes roles at Potlatch Corporation and MeadWestvaco, focusing on operations, project leadership, and process safety management, complemented by a BS in Paper Science & Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.
