Gordon Greenfield has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Gordon began their career as a Senior Associate at DRI/McGraw-Hill, where they managed market research projects and presented results to senior executives. Greenfield then joined Cheetah Technologies as Vice President of Marketing, where they built and managed the marketing function and played a key role in the company's acquisition by Acterna. Gordon later founded their own marketing consultancy, Quail Communications, specializing in corporate branding and product launches. As President, they worked with clients such as Switch and Data Corp and erinMedia. Greenfield then served as the Director of Marketing for Lennar Homes, overseeing marketing strategy and implementing a successful website redesign and branding program. Gordon'smost recent role was as the Chief Marketing and Communications Officer for Sarasota Orchestra, where they were responsible for all marketing activities and achieved significant success in reaching and attracting new audience segments.
Gordon Greenfield's education history includes pursuing an MBA in Marketing from Cornell Johnson Graduate School of Management. Additionally, they participated in a Continuing Studies Certificate Program focusing on Digital Media and Marketing at Duke University from 2015 to 2016. Gordon also holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Journalism from Northeastern University. In addition to their formal education, Gordon has engaged in professional development opportunities to further enhance their skills and knowledge in an unspecified field of study.
Sarasota Orchestra
For over 70 years, the Sarasota Orchestra has been entertaining music lovers from around the region, and visitors from around the world. The 80-member Orchestra performs more than 100 classical, pops and family concerts each year, and thrives as the oldest continuing orchestra in the state of Florida. In 2008 the organization unveiled a new name and logo with a package that offers new series, new concerts and a whole new way to experience live music, along with the timeless classics. An arts leader in the community, the Sarasota Orchestra has a dual mission dedicated to exquisite performance and first-class musical education. The Sarasota Orchestra's acclaimed music education program includes the 60-year-old Youth Orchestra, which features five ensembles – the most advanced of which, The Youth Philharmonic, made its Carnegie Hall debut in 2008. The Sarasota Orchestra also offers music lessons for students of all ages and abilities, sponsors multiple community outreach programs and is the parent program of the Sarasota Music Festival.
