Mathias Schmidt

Mathias Schmidt currently serves as a First Officer at SAS - Scandinavian Airlines, flying Airbus 320/321NX and Airbus 330/350 since December 2023, with an unfrozen ATPL. Previously, Mathias held the position of First Officer at Ryanair from September 2022 to December 2023, where responsibilities included managing operations in challenging environments characterized by terrain, busy airspace, high temperatures, limited runway lengths, and high-energy approaches. Mathias also served as a Second Officer before transitioning to Ryanair. Prior to a career in aviation, Mathias worked at Novo Nordisk as an operator and managed restaurant operations as General Manager at Restaurant Det Gamle Bryghus. Additional experience includes serving on the Management Board of Sydsjællands Automobil Klub. Education includes an ATPL Integrated Course from Center Air Pilot Academy, along with supplementary studies in mathematics and a Higher Commercial Examination from ZBC - Zealand Business College.
