Lalith Roopesh

Lalith Roopesh has a diverse work experience in the field of research and leadership roles. Starting in 2021, Lalith worked as a Research Assistant Intern at Eli Lilly and Company. In 2022, Lalith became a Research Coordinator at Morsani College of Medicine. Lalith also held multiple positions at the Engineering Biology Core, including Vice President, Co-founder and Financial Director of the Journal of Interdisciplinary Sciences & Technology, and Planning Committee Chair. In 2023, Lalith joined Moffitt Cancer Center and the University of South Florida as a Research Assistant in the Tsai Lab and Ullah Lab respectively. Lalith also took on leadership roles at Nucleate as part of the Florida Leadership Team and at ISCB Student Council as the President of ISCB RSG SE-USA. Additionally, Lalith served as the Vice President Internal of the USF Chapter of SASE - Society of Asian Scientists and Engineers. Lalith was also an Associate Member of Sigma Xi, The Scientific Research Honor Society. Lastly, Lalith worked as a self-employed MCAT Tutor.

Lalith Roopesh earned a Core 40 Diploma with Academic Honors from Carmel High School, between 2017 and 2021. Lalith is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Sciences, General at the University of South Florida, which is expected to be completed in 2025.
