John Sullivan

John Sullivan has extensive experience in geology, currently serving as Divisional Manager for Secunda Exploration at Sasol since February 2009, where responsibilities include leading the geological exploration at the Limpopo West Project. Prior to this, John worked as a Resident Geologist at Exxaro Resources from 2005 to 2009 and held the role of Iron Ore Geologist at Kumba from July 2001 to November 2005, overseeing exploration projects at Sishen South. John’s career began at Iscor, where from 1984 to 2001, significant contributions were made as an Exploration Geologist, leading initiatives at various mining sites. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy in Geology from the University of Pretoria, alongside a Master of Science, BSc Hons, and a Bachelor of Science degree, all in Geology/Earth Science, demonstrating a strong academic foundation in the field.
