Bassem Abdo is a seasoned electrical engineer with extensive experience in managing large-scale electrical projects. Currently serving as the Lead Project Engineer at SASREF since January 2021, Bassem is responsible for overseeing mega electrical projects from design to closeout, actively participating in project charter and tendering phases. Prior roles include Senior Electrical Engineer and Senior Electrical Project Engineer at Jacobs, as well as Senior Project Engineer at ABB, where responsibilities encompassed power system studies and project design reviews. Bassem has also held positions as a Protection Relays Engineer at the Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company and ISCOSA Industries and Maintenance Ltd. Bassem holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from Modern Academy for Engineering and Technology in Cairo and an MBA in International Management from SBS Swiss Business School. Bassem is a member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (MIET) and holds certifications as a Project Management Professional (PMP®) and Risk Management Professional (PMI-RMP®).
