Dan Higgins

Dan Higgins has over 30 years of experience in software engineering and project management. Dan is currently working at Satelles as the Director of Software Engineering since October 2019. Prior to that, they were a Sr. Technical Project Manager at Satelles starting from September 2018.

Before joining Satelles, Dan worked at Radiant Solutions from 2010 to 2018. Dan held various roles including Engineering Manager and Sr. Software Engineer/Project Engineer. As the Engineering Manager, they led a team of over 30 engineers and developed organizational vision. Dan also played a key role in defining and implementing agile practices, serving as a scrum master for several programs. Additionally, they managed personnel, developed performance processes, and maintained an extensive knowledge base.

From 2006 to 2010, Dan worked at LGS Innovations as a Sr. Software Engineer, where they designed and developed object-oriented applications and advocated for agile development principles. Dan also introduced new tools and methodologies to improve development processes.

Dan's earlier experience includes working as a Software Manager at Digitalglobe, where they pioneered agile development methodologies and led the design and development of custom applications. Dan also served as a Sr. Software Engineer, Technical Team Lead, and Systems Architect at Digitalglobe, working on integration and reporting tools, mission control software, and deployment systems.

Prior to Digitalglobe, Dan worked as a Sr. Software Engineer at US West Communications, Evolving Systems, and Loral Command and Control Systems.

Overall, Dan Higgins has extensive experience in software engineering, project management, agile methodologies, and team leadership.

Dan Higgins obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Colorado Boulder from 1988 to 1990. Dan also holds additional certifications including Certified Product Owner from Scrum Alliance, Certified ScrumMaster from Scrum Alliance, and Scrum Facilitator from ASPE.
