Pete Johnson

Sr. Product Engineer at Satelles

Pete Johnson has a strong background in engineering and product development. Pete started their career at Signetics in 1981 as a Test Engineer, where they developed test and characterization programs for MIL spec logic devices. Pete then transitioned to Intel in 1989, where they served as an Engineering Manager. In this role, they led a team responsible for driving new strategic requirements into test and manufacturing. At Intel, they defined unified DFT and structural test strategies for Chipset and multi-chip package products and owned all Scan design development efforts. In 2014, Pete joined KOfinder Technologies, Inc. as a Hardware Architect, where they played a crucial role in developing new high-performance location technology utilizing the Iridium satellite constellation. Pete was responsible for DSP and Geo location definition and development efforts, lab equipment/hardware procurement and setup, and RF characterization. Currently, Pete is working at Satelles as a Sr. Product Engineer, where they develop and implements platforms to demonstrate Satellite Time and Location (STL) technology. Pete also works closely with new customers to implement STL-based systems and provides engineering support for established STL service customers.

Pete Johnson attended the University of California, Davis from 1979 to 1981. During this time, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical, Circuits, Signal processing, and Computer Engineering.
