Joe Blankenship has a diverse work experience, beginning in 2012 as a Photojournalist at Baldwin Wallace University. Joe then joined the Japan Exchange and Teaching Program(me) (JET) in 2014 as an Assistant Language Teacher. In 2018, Joe became a Japanese-English Translator/Interpreter at Sanoh America, Inc. In 2020, they began working as a Freelance Translator. In 2021, Joe was a Graduate Teaching Assistant and Engagement Ambassador at Bowling Green State University. Joe currently works as an Artificial Intelligence Engineer and Software Engineer Intern at Satelytics, starting in 2022.
Joe Blankenship completed a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in English Language and Literature, General at Baldwin Wallace University from 2011 to 2014. In 2013, they studied abroad at Kansai Gaidai University in Japanese Studies. From 2019 to 2020, they completed graduate courses in Translation at Kent State University, specializing in Japanese-English. Joe is currently pursuing a Master of Science - MS in Computer Science at Bowling Green State University, which they began in 2021. In 2016, they obtained a TEFL certification from MyTEFL. Joe also holds a JLPT N2 certification.
