Paul Sauer

Paul Sauer is a seasoned professional in the field of precision optics, currently serving as the Head of R&D at Satisloh since April 2018, where responsibilities encompass managing engineering teams, budgeting, overseeing innovation, and engaging with universities for project development. Prior to this role, Paul held various positions including Product Manager and Technical Sales Manager, focusing on customer order coordination and market analysis. Previously, Paul worked at Hensoldt Optronics as Optical Production Manager, managing a team of 30 employees and overseeing production planning and customer liaison. Additional experience includes a Technical Manager position at Cassidian Optronics, where Paul was involved in process improvement and new technology development, and various engineering roles at Element Six. Paul holds an MBA from GIBS Business School and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronic Engineering from the University of Pretoria.
