Grayson Murphy

Grayson Murphy is a multifaceted professional with experience in biochar engineering, athletics, and entrepreneurship. Currently serving as a Biochar Engineering Consultant at reCap Carbon since December 2024, Grayson has also excelled as a Professional Athlete with Saucony since October 2019 and established Wild Strides Paper Co. as Founder and CEO in November 2018. Prior roles include a Sustainability Research Intern at John Burns Research and Consulting and an Engineer in Training at Tarr Group, as well as positions as a Staff Engineer at FOUR CORNERS ENVIRONMENTAL, INC. and a Professional Runner with HOKA ONE ONE. Grayson’s academic background includes multiple degrees, with a Master’s Degree in Natural Resources, Sustainability Studies from Oregon State University, a Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Utah, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Santa Clara University.
