The Saudi Golf Federation was established in 1999 AD 1420 H, and is based in City of Riyadh, SGF is an independent sports authority, which is financially and morally assisted by the State to achieve its objectives in accordance with International Olympic Committee rules, plus the rules of The International Golf Federation.

تأسس الاتحاد السعودي للجولف في العام 1420 الموافق 1999م ومقره مدينة الرياض، ويعد الاتحاد السعودي للجولف هيئة رياضية ذات شخصية اعتبارية مستقلة تساعدها الدولة ماديا ومعنوياً لتحقيق أهدافها، وبما يتوافق مع أنظمة اللجنة الأولمبية الدولية والاتحاد الدولي للجولف.
