Staff 8 is currently the Coordinator of Community Schools, K-12 Teaching & Learning at SAUSD. Prior to this, they were a Fifth Grade Teacher at SAUSD/Edison. There, they served as a grade level leader, After school test prep teacher, and Math GATE cluster teacher. They also used assessments to guide classroom instruction, including the Reading Lions Assessment, District benchmark tests, Previous CST results, DRA, ADEPT, CELDT, and weekly basil reader (OCR) comprehension assessments.
Before that, they were a Fourth Grade Teacher at SAUSD/Edison, where they provided intervention for students with special needs and implemented strategic student grouping for academic improvement. They also oversaw SIPPS after school tutoring and SRA Core after school tutoring. In addition, they participated in weekly grade level collaboration meetings.
Staff 8 began their teaching career as a Kindergarten Safety Net Teacher at SAUSD/Edison. Then, they became a Kindergarten Teacher at Child Development Center. After that, they did their student teaching at Edison Elementary School. Finally, they were a Teacher's Aide at American Reads-College Park Elementary School.
Staff 8 has a credential in Elementary Education from Vanguard University of Southern California as well as a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Liberal Studies and a Teaching Credential from Vanguard University.
Staff 8 works with and Staff 7 - Coordinator of FACE, K-12 Teaching & Learning. Staff 8 reports to Staff 6, Director of FACE, K-12 Teaching & Learning.
