Tom Hebbron

Tom Hebbron has extensive work experience in the field of information security. Tom is currently working as a Principal Security Consultant at Savanti since January 2022. Prior to this, they were the Director of Adjacent Possibles Limited since July 2014.

Tom also served as the Director, Privileged Access Management at Refinitiv, an LSEG business, from June 2020 to December 2021. Before that, they worked at KPMG UK as an Information Security Consultant from October 2014 to May 2020. In this role, they were responsible for assisting clients in managing information security risk and overseeing the design and implementation of Identity and Access Management and Privileged Access Management controls.

Earlier in their career, Tom worked as a Full Stack Engineer at Coolpink for a brief period in 2006. Prior to that, they served as a Technical Lead at the University of Leeds from November 2001 to January 2006. Tom began their career as an eBusiness Developer at Hewlett Packard Enterprise, where they worked from July 2000 to September 2001.

Tom Hebbron holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Artificial Intelligence and Philosophy from the University of Leeds. Tom also earned a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Complexity Science and a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) degree in Computer Science, both from the University of Southampton.

In addition to their academic achievements, Tom obtained various certifications throughout their career. Tom obtained certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Fundamentals, Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals, and Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals from Microsoft. Tom also holds The Open Group Certified: TOGAF® 9 Certified certification from The Open Group and CyberArk Defender certification from CyberArk. Furthermore, they obtained the Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge (CCSK) from the Cloud Security Alliance, ISO27001 Lead Auditor certification from ISO - International Organization for Standardization, and CISSP - Certified Information Systems Security Professional certification from (ISC)². Lastly, Tom possesses the CISM certification from ISACA.
