Marya Plotkin, MPH, DrPH, is a senior researcher and technical expert in global health with over 20 years of experience. They have led multiple implementation science studies, collaborated on multi-country research, and served as Principal Investigator for a study that influenced malaria prevention policy in Zanzibar. Previously, Marya directed the Monitoring, Evaluation and Research department at Jhpiego Tanzania and provided guidance on health programs in Mozambique and Zimbabwe. They currently hold the position of Managing Director at Save the Children US, mentoring emerging health professionals and authoring numerous peer-reviewed articles. Fluent in Swahili and experienced in East African health initiatives, Marya continues to contribute significantly to the field of maternal and newborn health.
