Katherine Steen

Katherine Steen, M.Ed. has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of learning and development. Katherine currently serves as the Director of Learning and Development at Savers | Value Village, where they collaborate with leadership to enhance organizational capability through various areas of learning and development. Prior to this, they worked as the Executive Director of Learning & Development at YMCA of Pierce and Kitsap Counties. Before their leadership roles, Katherine was a self-employed Independent Consultant, providing customized solutions in learning strategy and operations, content development, brand positioning, sales processes, and team dynamics. Katherine also worked as a Director of Business Development - Consultant at LearnBIG, where they improved business development strategies. Katherine's career also includes a significant role as the Director of Colliers University at Colliers International, where they provided global strategic leadership and managed curriculum development and course delivery. Katherine has also worked as an Educator for a consulting firm and as a Content Manager at Festivals.com, where they managed content and established relationships with professionals in the festivals and events industry.

Katherine Steen, M.Ed., holds a Master's Degree in Curriculum & Instruction from the University of Washington. Katherine also has a Bachelor's Degree in English from Vassar College. In addition to their academic qualifications, Katherine has obtained several certifications, including being a Net Promoter Certified Associate from Satmetrix in 2010, a Market Force Certified Professional - Level 4 from Prosperity Rules LLC in 2008, and a Washington State Teacher Certification in English Grades 7-12 from the Washington Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction in 2003.
