Mark Townsend

Mark Townsend is a seasoned professional in woodland management and arboriculture with extensive experience in the forestry sector. Currently serving as the Head of Woodland Management and Arboriculture at Savills UK since March 2018, Mark leads a team to provide comprehensive services across the UK including woodland management plans, grant applications, and tree risk management. Previous roles include Director and Associate Director at Savills, as well as Senior Arboriculture and Forestry Manager and General Manager at Gristwood and Toms, where responsibilities included overseeing operations across multiple depots and managing significant contracts. Mark also holds a Bachelor of Science in Arboriculture and a Master of Science in Management from Loughborough University, alongside a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology.
