Brian Mueller

Director, GIS at Savion

Brian Mueller is the current Director of GIS at Savion. Brian has over 20 years of experience in the field of Geographic Information Systems. Mueller began their career as a stereoplotter operator at Western Air Maps in 1989. Brian then moved to Cascade Mapping, Inc. in 1992, where they were responsible for creating and editing geospatial data, volume calculations, job estimations and training new personnel. In 1996, Mueller opened their own photogrammetry consulting business, Mueller Associates, LLC. Brian specialized in mining sites and impervious surface studies. In 2007, Mueller became a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, where they taught GIS and Remote Sensing labs to graduate and undergraduate students. Brian also consulted on projects with students and professors. Mueller joined Tradewind Energy in 2009 as the Director of GIS. Brian oversaw all aspects of the company’s GIS operations, including data management, analysis, mapping and product development. Mueller left Tradewind Energy in 2019 to join Savion as the Director of GIS.

Brian Mueller has a Masters in Environmental Geography and GIS from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and a B.A. in Geography/Environmental Studies/Computer Science from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
