For 42 million Americans, SNAP is what keeps food on the table. Its future depends on how accurately states can deliver it.

Savor Snap started in food access, working with farmers markets, food banks, and double-dollar SNAP programs in Georgia to help underserved communities stretch benefits further.

That work showed us where we could have the highest impact: upstream, in the state systems that administer the program. Today, we focus on strengthening payment integrity in SNAP — keeping the program accurate, reliable, and sustainable for the people who depend on it.

We partner with state human services agencies to do two things:
1. Research the root causes of improper payment errors through direct work with administrators, supervisors, and eligibility staff, and advise on interventions most likely to reduce them.
2. Design software, including purpose-built AI tools, where research points to clear, under-addressed opportunities to improve accuracy and strengthen payment integrity.
