Amanda Ontiveros

Amanda Ontiveros has extensive work experience in the field of design. Amanda is currently employed as a Product Design Manager at Savvas Learning Company since March 2022. Prior to this, they worked at McGraw-Hill Education for nearly 7 years, where they held the role of Senior Designer from June 2015 to March 2022. Amanda also served as a Creative Intern at the company from May 2014 to May 2015.

Before joining McGraw-Hill Education, Amanda worked at Event Network as a Sales Lead at the Chicago Children's Museum Gift Shop from July 2009 to June 2015. Amanda'sresponsibilities included coordinating with the store director, visual merchandising, and managing shipping, transfers, and inventory duties.

Amanda also gained experience as a Design Intern at Instituto del Progreso Latino from December 2012 to June 2014. During their time there, they created a brand for Instituto's new program of Hospitality Management and Entrepreneurship and assisted the coordinator with designing brochures and flyers.

Amanda has also worked as a Graphic Designer and Office Aide at SLDVS at the University of Illinois at Chicago from September 2013 to May 2014. Additionally, they served as a Graphic Design Intern in the Marketing Department of the Chicago Children's Museum from February 2013 to September 2013. In this role, they assisted the museum's in-house graphics team, updated documents for brand consistency, and participated in marketing brainstorming sessions.

Amanda Ontiveros attended the University of Illinois Chicago from 2010 to 2014, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design. Prior to that, they attended the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from 2008 to 2009, although they did not complete a degree during that time. In addition to their formal education, Amanda has obtained additional certifications in Design Leadership Fundamentals I from the Design Dept. in February 2023 and Lucidchart Essentials from Lucid in November 2019.
